This is the second course in a three part series that prepares the student for the CCENT/CCNA ICND1 certification exam. This course begins with a subnetting definition, differentiates the five IPv4 address classes, and explains Class A, B, and C address formats. Conversion of binary, prefix, and dotted decimal formatted subnet masks and the classless and classful views of IP addressing are also discussed. The course also takes a look at the rules that enable efficient subnet deployment and offers binary and dotted decimal approaches to identify subnet identifiers, host ranges, and broadcast addresses. Physical router installation factors are discussed along with the steps needed to enable IPv4 support on Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices. The course further reviews the end to end routing process, how connected, static, and interVLAN routing is enabled, and key features of interior, exterior, and Routing Information Protocol version 2 (RIPv2) routing protocols. The course wraps-up with a look at the role Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Service (DNS), and the default router plays in the local area network and offers tips on analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving host connectivity problems in the network.

Industry Certifications: Upon completion of the 3 course series (TEL108, TEL109, and TEL110) and with additional study and preparation, students are postured for the Cisco ICND1 Exam.
